Featured Speaker: Dr. Angela Lindenmuth Marick, “Change Your Thoughts, Change Your World”
Dr. Angela earned degrees in nutrition and exercise science from Cornell University and graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic as valedictorian of her class. For the past nine years, her successful chiropractic practice has stressed a holistic and vitalistic approach to health care lovingly applied through relaxation and rejuvenation.
In 2016, Dr. Angela’s world was shaken when she experienced the heart-crushing loss of her 40-year-old husband who was also father to their two young sons. His remarkable spirit and positive mindset throughout his illness inspired her to be fully present in every moment. As a result, she has found a new voice and dedicates herself to helping others achieve a mindset that leads to a life of fulfillment and happiness.
Dr. Angela’s recent career as a Life Coach focuses on professional women who are searching for life balance through accountability and inspired action. During her presentation, she will share a powerful mindset model you can implement immediately to begin changing your thoughts and changing your world!

Featured Speaker: Dr. Bertice Berry, “The Keys to Your Confidence in Your Life, Your Work, and Your Money”
Sociologist Bertice Berry, PhD is a best-selling author, an award-winning lecturer, and has been named Comedian of The Year, Lecturer of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year. She has published 11 best-selling books in both fiction and non-fiction and has won numerous awards and accolades for both her writing and presentations.
Dr. Berry has had her own nationally-syndicated television show and has hosted, interviewed and made numerous television, documentary and radio appearances on a variety of diverse venues including The Tonight Show, Oprah, Between The Lions, Crossfire, 20-20, NPR, PBS, Comedy Central and CNN.
Berry has used her unique gifts and talents as a writer and ghost writer for others on a wide range of topics including race and gender issues, sociological studies, stratification, healthcare reform, humor, spirituality, sexuality, slavery and the abolitionist movement, weight loss and wellness, relationships, servant leadership, transformational leadership, diversity and love.
Berry has led parades, had classrooms named after her, and has been awarded over 10 honorary doctorates. She earned her own doctoral degree from Kent State University at the age of 26 and still sees her most fulfilling achievement and role in life as that of mother to her 5 adopted children.
“If you ain’t dead, you ain’t done,” a character in one of Berry’s novels says.
Dr. Berry believes that every one of us has been given a unique purpose and it is our obligation to find it and use it to improve first our own self and then for those we live and work with.

Featured Speaker: Best Selling Author Janice Kaplan, “How Luck Happens” and “The Gratitude Diaries” among others
Janice Kaplan is a journalist, TV producer, and author. She was the Editor-in-Chief of Parade magazine where her upbeat editorial style inspired some 70 million readers every Sunday. Her own interviews with stars including Barbra Streisand, Clint Eastwood, Matt Damon, and Daniel Craig got international attention. She first proved her talent for speaking to a wide audience as the executive producer of more than 30 television specials for ABC, FOX and other networks and as the deputy editor of TV Guide Magazine.
Janice is the author and co-author of a dozen bestselling books and novels including The Gratitude Diaries: How A Year Looking On the Bright Side Can Transform Your Life. Her newest book, How Luck Happens, uncovers the unexpected, little-understood science behind what we call “luck,” proving that many seemingly random events are actually under your–and everyone’s–control.
Janice graduated magna cum laude from Yale University and won Yale’s Murray Fellowship for writing. She has appeared regularly on television, including the Today show, Good Morning America, and CBS This Morning.

Featured Speaker: Kristen Johnson Brogan, RD, LDN, ACE-PT
Kristen is a Registered Dietitian, Author of Target to Table: Delicious & Healthy Meals One Superfood at a Time, and Chief Nutrition Officer at On Target Living. She is also the daughter of the company’s Founder – leading health and fitness expert, Chris Johnson, who was a memorable speaker at our 2011 York Women’s Luncheon.
Prior to joining On Target Living, Kristen worked with many large organizations such as Delta Airlines, Notre Dame University, American Diabetes Association, and Chicago Public Schools as a Corporate Dietitian consulting on health, wellness, and eating habits.
Over the years, Kristen has become a leading authority on mindful eating, mindful moving, and mindful living. She shared her secrets to becoming a mindfully present leader who can handle complex situations with intentional focus.
