Free Winter Celebration To Span Three Days, Fill Cherry Lane Park
York’s “laugh at the cold” free winter celebration for 2019 is the biggest yet!
York Traditions Bank and Eventive will present FestivICE 2019, which will be in Cherry Lane in downtown York, PA. The winter festival will include music, family fun, and the famous live ice sculpting throughout the weekend.
DiMartino Ice Company will work with more than 20,000 pounds of ice to create pieces of art throughout the event, including a 40-foot ice slide attendees age 12 and under can ride for free and ice sculptures to honor the late Dr. Martin Luther King and the heroes he inspired.
The expanded FestivICE party starts Thursday, January 17th with Creative York’s craft event, a screening of The Incredibles at the Capitol Theater, and a social hosted by York Young Professionals at Cherry Lane.
Included in the events on Friday, January 18th are live ice carvings and a free silent disco at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts.
Stop by the festival on Saturday, January 19th for family friendly activities, live music, fire pits, s’mores, a York Flea in York’s Central Market and more throughout the day. Visit the York Traditions Bank tent in Cherry Lane Park to spin the prize wheel from noon to 5 p.m.
“We say this every year, of course, but this year’s FestivICE really will be the best yet,” said Adam Nugent, director of Eventive. “It will certainly be the biggest!”
