Pappus House – St. Charles Way
Pappus House is a three-bedroom house that has been fully remodeled to best serve the needs of residents and their families. Pappus House is a non-profit end-of-life care home providing compassionate, end-of-life care and support for a dying person and their family. The staff and volunteers offer round-the-clock care for residents and work closely with the residents’ hospice providers to fulfill their plan of care. Golden Connections Community Center is a multi-service facility for 60 or older adults. The Center can fulfill many social, emotional, and intellectual needs. Center activities are designed to overcome loneliness, enhance self-esteem, encourage personal growth, and to facilitate independence through involvement. Learn more on their website.
York Fringe Arts Festival – Downtown York
The mission of the York Fringe Arts Festival is to provide a platform for innovative live arts in the City of York. In short: take the Wikipedia entry on theatre, a music festival, and an art gallery, throw them in a blender with some craft beer and frappe until smooth. Drink to experience artistic endeavors like never before! In it’s second year, York Fringe has a show and experience for everyone.
