Women's Spotlight: Sponsorship & Events

York Traditions Bank is proud to support community resources, seminars, and events that are dedicated to the advancement of professional women in York County.

On June 4, 2009 we co-sponsored a luncheon, with Smith Barney, titled "Women, Wealth, Wit", at the Susan P. Byrnes Health Education Center.  For additional information on this event, please click here... Women, Wealth, Wit.

The Dress for Success Suit Drive, held during the week of June 22, 2009, was a huge success!  All items, which included suits, shoes, and accessories (jewelry, blouses, sweaters), were delivered to Dress for Success/Central PA, a not-for-profit organization offering services designed to help women find jobs and remain employed. Each Dress for Success client receives one suit when she has a job interview and additional apparel when she finds work.  Thank you to everyone who participated in this Drive.

On February 2, 2010 Dr. Wanda Filer, York Traditions Bank Board Member, was the featured speaker at the Women’s Business Center Organization—an organization that focuses on educating women on best practices in business.  Dr. Filer’s topic was “Many Hats…Many Opportunities…Many Chances to Learn.”  And, on March 2, 2010, the featured speaker was Mike Kochenour, the Bank’s Chairman, President & CEO, who spoke about “Great People + Shared Value = A Formula for Success.”   For additional information on future Women’s Business Center Organization events, contact Lynda Randall at the J. D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship.

Liz Dellinger, Director of Treasury Management, is the York County Chamber’s First Recipient of the Ignite Award, which was presented at the Annual Chamber Dinner on Friday, March 19, 2010.  The Ignite Award was established by the Chamber as a way to support and recognize young business leaders in the York community, and the recipient is selected for their current career success and participation in professional development activities, influence he/she has had on other young business leaders, and involvement in CHAMBERfuel.

Liz is actively involved in the community, serving in various roles with Cultural Alliance, Leadership York, Lutheran Social Services, Memorial Hospital, Redevelopment Authority of York County, Salvation Army, United Way of York County, York Health Foundation, York Jaycees, and the York County Chamber of Commerce.  She was also a member of the 2009 York MS Leadership Class.  Additionally, Liz has over 20 years of experience in the banking industry.

Below is our schedule of upcoming events.  This list will be continually updated, so please check back for the latest information.
